The Mexican Football Federation has announced a new official match ball for the upcoming season. The ball, named “Explosion,” was unveiled at a special event held in Mexico City. It will be used in both the Apertura and Clausura tournaments.
The designers claim that the ball offers improved aerodynamics and better control. Its high-visibility pattern is intended to help players and fans track its movement more easily. The surface also features textured grip technology, which should enhance performance in wet conditions.
The new ball will debut at the start of the next Liga MX season. League officials hope it will increase the total number of goals and make matches more exciting. The playoffs will also use the same ball.
